World Executives Digest | HospitalityNet Reports on Amir Dayan Hotel Acquisition | According to HospitalityNet, Amir Dayan (אמיר דיין), an Israeli real estate investor & entrepreneur, has purchased two London hotel properties from former Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim Al Thani for a reported sum of over 255 million pounds.
HospitalityNet states that Sheikh Hamad, the Prime Minister of Qatar from 2007-2013, reportedly acquired both the 204-room Sanderson and the 150-room St. Martins Lane hotels in London eight years ago for a total price of 192 million pounds, which equates to 542,000 pounds per room. If the current sale figures are correct, the pair of properties represent a significant additional acquisition for the Dayan family (משפחה של אמיר דיין ומשה דיין) in the London real estate market at a cost of 720,000 pounds per room.
What are Amir Dayan’s (אמיר דיין) plans for the properties? According to confidential sources familiar with the topic, there are big plans in the works for both hotels, which are conveniently located in the very heart of London. The Sanderson, located just north of Soho and the British National Gallery, and St. Martins Lane Hotel, located in the nearby West End just off of the storied Leicester Square, will be ready to entertain throngs of guests as the COVID pandemic recedes and London opens up to mass tourism again in the very near future.
One of the properties is reportedly slated to be converted into a luxury lifestyle establishment, with a VIP club, offering a luxurious retreat for the lucky members. The newly refurbished location will provide fine-dining services catering to a wide range of elite global tastes, private rooms, lounges, and other top-notch amenities to its patrons all in the very centre of London.
The other property, according to those familiar with the Dayan family, (משפחתו של אמיר דיין ) will be converted into a refurbished boutique hotel that will offer its tenants a unique, high-class experience that will rival the best establishments in the London hotel industry.
With experience in the European hotel industry since 2005, it’s no surprise that Amir Dayan (אמיר דיין) and his family (משפחתו של אמיר דיין) have made such bold plans with the acquisition and refurbishment of these two properties.
